I’m wired for hard work, strong values, and competition, and it didn’t come out of nowhere. I come from a family shaped by a generation who had to rebuild from the ground up where hard work wasn’t optional, and resilience wasn’t a slogan. When your history includes a reset like that, one thing becomes clear: you don’t waste what you’ve been given. You build on it. You carry it forward. Because if you do, those values don’t fade with time. They get stronger with each generation.
Growing up with two loving parents and three brothers - in a home where the standard was always being sharpened - taught me to compete, push myself, support the people beside me, and keep showing up when things get hard. That mindset carried me to Drake University to play Division I soccer, and it’s the same mindset I bring into law, coaching, and community work in Des Moines.
Soccer and law might look different on the surface, but they demand the same things: discipline, strategy, and problem-solving under pressure. That’s what guides everything I do- whether I’m advocating for clients, coaching athletes, or creating access through Kick It Forward.
At the heart of my work is helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. I take time to understand each person’s story, find practical solutions, and build meaningful connections so every client feels seen, heard, and backed every step of the way.
